Overview
Under general supervision, provides technical assistance and analysis during planning and execution of Product Service Line (PSL) operations for customers, maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, safety and service quality. Works on value add projects through collaboration with both internal and external customers based on technical knowledge and developments to deliver solutions to meet their requirements and Halliburton's commercial expectations, considering both the price of the solution to the customer as well as the total cost to Halliburton to deliver it. Applies engineering, mechanical and geological principles to articulate more complex data interpretations to customers from proprietary software and collaborates with clients through the entire well cycle from drilling to completion scenarios independently. Actively completes training and competency assignments to pursue growth and development within the PSL career path and Halliburton organization. Fosters teamwork among all personnel involved in the performance of work activities, and supports the development of less experienced operators and/or technical personnel. Shares learning and advertises successes by writing, publishing and presenting case histories and industry papers (for example, Society of Petroleum Engineers-SPE).

Under general supervision, designs, codes, tests, trouble-shoots and documents engineering systems applications. The developer will be expected to have experience of common tools and processes used to design, code, test, trouble-shoot, document engineering systems applications. Develops test strategies used in the automated regression testing of these systems. Follows secure coding practices, performs triaging of security issues, and implements fixes to deliver secure applications. Familiar with common software vulnerabilities and leading practices to mitigate. Should have some experience in researching open- source technologies for use in building systems and participate in open source communities as needed. - This is a hands-on role and will be expected to take an active part in development work
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of existing and emerging technologies relevant to the role

Qualifications & Experience
Essential Attributes:
- 4+ years of experience in Software development of complex applications. Excellent understanding of design principles and considerations, best practice
- 4+ years of Java and C++ development experience
- History of applying best practices, code reviews and quality checks
- Familiarity with build pipeline tools and technologies such as Gitlab
- Must be self-motivated but needs to work well in a team environment
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-Starter; willing to learn new technologies, ability to learn fast
Desirable Attributes:
- Knowledge of Eclipse RCP and Eclipse OSGi
- Swing and SWT experience
- Understanding of Machine Learning technologies (Python, TensorFlow etc.)
