Job Duties and Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY:


Mechanical Fitter - Cementing Equipment Rebuild

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Dyce. The role involves stripping, inspecting, and assembling Halliburton cement mixing and pumping equipment, ensuring compliance with Halliburton management systems, procedures, checklists, and safety protocols. The successful candidate will also support acceptance testing and assist with general workshop and yard organisation.

Key Responsibilities


•    Strip, inspect, and rebuild cement mixing and pumping equipment.
•    Follow Halliburton management systems, checklists, and safety procedures.
•    Assemble mechanical components, ensuring correct fitting, alignment, and adjustment.
•    Support acceptance testing and ensure equipment meets operational requirements.
•    Perform general workshop tasks, including cleaning parts and maintaining a tidy workspace.
•    Assist with yard and workshop organisation as required.
•    Work under general supervision to complete assigned tasks.

Requirements


•    Skills are typically acquired through possession of a Technical School certificate and 1-2 years of mechanical fitting or assembly experience.
•    Experience working with engines, hydraulic components, thread awareness and control equipment is advantageous.
•    Ability to interpret and complete checklists and follow structured processes.
•    Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Role Specific Knowledge


•    Basic computer skills
•    Good communication skills
•    Good writing skills

Desirable Experience


•    Rigging and overhead / gantry crane experience.
•    Forklift truck licence.

This is a workshop-based role in Dyce, requiring good hands-on mechanical fitting skills.
